Beach Break Live 2009

Last years line-up included The Enemy, Dan Le Sac V Scroobius Pip and The Wombats but this time around they have outdone themselves with a host of British chart topping acts. Dizzee Rascal will be performing on the Main Stage and will no doubt have the crowd going Bonkers, the three piece band Noisettes are another group that you won’t want to miss. With the huge hit ‘Dont Upset the Rhythm’ which Avenue61 reviewed earlier this year, being a must see. Other up and coming acts that are at Beach Break this year include, Ebony Bones, The Red Light Company, VV Brown, Ladyhawke, Dan Black, Official Secrets Act and Alessi’s Ark.

The event last year was located at a stunning location on top of cliff’s overlooking Polzeath beach. This year they had planned to move along the coast to St Agnes and the venue is certainly one of the most beautiful on the festival circuit, whilst having doubled it’s capacity from 5,000 to 10,000 the atmosphere will be buzzing. Due to issues with this location it has now been moved to Kent.

The organisers of the event have had an interesting few years in managing the festival. Two years ago they turned down money from The Dragons Den to partner with Outgoing Travel instead to keep the ethos of the event in tact and still produce an amazing experience for those lucky enough to get a ticket.

All the tickets are sold out for Beach Break Live 2009 so if you haven’t got a pass for this year, then make sure you get the early bird ticket for 2010. Avenue61 will be reviewing the festival so you won’t miss out on all the news from Beach Break. If you are attending then it will no doubt be one of the highlights of your year and look forward to seeing you there...
