Seamus McLoughlin is a mix between Nickelback, Counting Crows and Chris Cornell in my eyes. He’s a good addition to the pool of male solo rock artists that have weaved their way onto our radios and CD collections. The song “I Can’t Stop” is a simple, cheery, upbeat song that can put anyone in a good mood.

His music can be described a rocky pop. A simple drum beat and many well-placed harmonies complement his comforting voice and lyrics. Hailing from Preston, England, Seamus had played to many busy venues throughout England and has many more to come.

The song has a very simple format which works well in capturing listeners and getting others to sing along. The lyrics are quite predictable, which also helps with the singing-along. Seamus has an inherently friendly voice, kind of like what you’d expect from a ‘young and cool dad’.  Musically, he uses the standard instruments needed for rock-pop: guitar, drums, bass, and vocals. His music would fit incredibly well in a TV drama, actually, as it is quite emotionally provocative. Greys Anatomy would benefit greatly from this tune.

With simple repetitive guitaring, and a noticeable middle section that brings out the good beat keeping the song flowing, this song is one to make this guy stand out as one to watch. If you like your simplistic rock-pop, then you’ll be interested to have a listen to this uplifting song. His album “Waiting for Tomorrow” is out now.
